ANALOGIC COMMUNICATION

Analogic Communication represents the group of emotional communicative systems which makes a sign, a gesture, a behaviour,  a word a powerful tool of effective communication, in order to relates to the world and understand our real needs and those of others.
The ability to communicate is one of the most important tools that nature and culture provides us, not only to live our life, but even to survive, even if its real importance only emerges when an event limits this ability.
The word anyway, which is a relevant element when speaking about common communication, is only one of the tools we use to interact with others; talking about percentages it represents only one part of the global language, which is built on an heterogeneous and varied series of expressive modes through which People express messages and any kind of emotions.
Stefano Benemeglio, starting from the observation of human behaviour and its changes during the hypnotic tests, deals with the problems linked to communication from a different and revolutionary point of view, analysing that particular channel of communication normally not considered, that is to say the “emotional” channel.
The communicative act is not only carried out through the verbal channel, but also through a series of gestures and acts we unconsciously do with our body (NVC); they are the result of emotional stimuli related to a particular object, a thing, an idea or a person present at that moment. We do not refer to a pure verbal or non verbal communication any more, but to an “emotional” communication.
Having realized that People are ruled by their own emotions and that the emotional channel is a real huge gold mine of information to get to know the dynamism of the mind, has turned out to be a winning point: mere “knowledge” has led to interpretation and from there to operative strategies.
The precious work done by ethologists and anthropologists, from Desmond Morris onwards, has been useful to recognize the biological-adaptive function of human behaviour, but the unconscious strategy of each human being  has always been  underestimated, maybe because it has not been considered so important.
The innovation introduced by Stefano Benemeglio is exactly as follows: “Non-Verbal Communication” acquires the same value and power as the emotional stimuli, that are present in each communicative process, constantly have.
That’s why it is important to specify that the classification of this type of communication as unconscious communication, as the embodiment of the unconscious itself (through gestures and defined acts) and expression of our deepest emotionality, is beyond all previous close examinations of “body language” commonly known.
The signs through which this type of communication is expressed, have been taken into consideration as “emotional stimulations”, that is to say real-time answers to analogic programmed acts. In order to clarify, what makes the concept of body language elaborated by Benemeglio different (with the related codification of the various possible signs), i s to assign to the expression of these signs analogy with the emotional state lived in the precise moment in which the sign is issued. The discovery of a connection between unconscious expression and emotional side  is a real innovation. The thought that people are ruled by their emotions and therefore also able to manage them, arises right here.
Emotions are surely linked to People and knowing the existence of the possibility of using them for personal purposes is not new, as it coincides with the birth of the first societies. In his  “ars oratoria” Aristotele found three components that were fundamental, according to him: logos (logic) – pathos (emotions) – ethos (ethic, meant as belief in what has been said).
The researches by Stefano Benemeglio on communication rely on pathos, present in each communicative process. These researches have led him to understand the most intimate mechanisms of the human mind allowing him to elaborate a behavioural strategy based on every single interlocutor within each interpersonal relationship.
While studying the communicative process, Stefano Benemeglio realized there was a series of gestures and signs that were constantly repeated continually in the gesture of every subject.  He realized not only that this gesture was constantly present but also the fact that it was the answer to certain emotional stimuli.
Thanks to a deeper analysis he succeeded in  identifying three symbols Bar-Triangle-Circle, according to their iconographical references. Used in gestures, in the behavioural style and in postures, they automatically reveal the original conflicts experienced by the individual within his familiar environment between childhood and youth. The experiences during this delicate period of life, together with their conditioning suffered, forge the individual both for his intimate sphere of affectivity and for his relationship with others during emotionally stimulating situations.
These three symbols can be surely listed among the symbolic archetypes of behaviour and can be respectively referred to the types Father – Mother – Oneself, that an individual acquires during the first years of life and that he keeps during his whole life.
If the symbol is a typical condensation of an idea, an object, a person  which emotionally involves People, then,  symbolic communication is its communicative expression. Symbolic communication allows to identify the behavioural type of each individual and with its behaviour it represents an incredible tool, together with non-verbal communication, to access other people’s sensibility, their uneasiness and their “truth”.

Even though  non-verbal communication and symbolism are valid tools,  we cannot underestimate the importance of verbal language. Within this new communicative system, an analogic value is given to single words used in a common dialogue. This means paying attention not only to its logical informative aspect but especially to the emotional one, meant as the emotional load that can be carried by each single word.
Obviously some words may have an evocative power for most people,  while some other only for some individuals who associate them to a relevant emotional event.
According to the dynamics of opposite, already identified by Stefano Benemeglio many years ago, each evocative term has implicitly its own opposite,  which applies a qualitative different effect..
Therefore, consciously  using opposite words, from here comes the definition of the System of Opposite Poles, which appears as real synonyms and antonyms (for example: darkness/light; white/black; narrow/wide and so on..),  we can understand that the interlocutor will  issue certain signs either satisfactory  or off-putting, typical of non-verbal communication. Hence we can analyse through these signs the energetic load created in the interlocutor.
This system appears to be particularly useful also for inductive goals. The evocative-emotional aspect of the use of words (in an analogic profile) for an individual, is really and so hypnotic within the  awareness of the unconscious..

Analogic communication is a method of communication and reading that allows to stimulate the emotive component of the human being, to lightly touch upon chords that are certainly sensitive and as a result to pave the way for the willingness to give rise to interest, or even the need, to take action, to adopt behaviours or attitudes in line with the objectives that have been set. And this, without being hypocritical, is exactly what each one of us asks for through communication: that is consent and assent
Getting to know analogic communication means going to the root of human behaviour and of cultural pleasure by adding the art of communicating with the language of emotions.

The operative tools of Analogic Communication allow:

  • to highlight in real time all the tensions felt by the interlocutor, the signals of rejection and approval relative to the communication as the object of a relationship;
  • to find out hidden truths of loved ones and one’s speakers;
  • to identify the types of behaviour: Father, Mother, Oneself made up of the emotional experiences of each individual, through communicative symbolism summed up in the geometrical shapes Bar, Circle, Triangle;
  • to offer an emotive service in exchange of a logical service;
  • to help, educate, persuade, seduce, in all important relationships in life of each individual, where communication is the principal element.
